Excel Machinery began in 1969 in Hereford, Texas, as Jake Diel Construction Machinery. By 1989 it had become Excel Machinery and moved to Amarillo, expanding over the years to 75,000 square feet of space with three branch offices and about 90 employees.
Fully employee-owned since 2010, Excel serves U.S. and international markets, building crushers, screening plants, conveyors, and control systems. Known for quality and innovation, the company was among the first to create portable crushing plants for construction recycling.
