Farmers Bank and Trust Company has been around for more than a century and continues to serve its hometown customers as Princeton, Kentucky’s only locally owned and operated bank.

Proof Bank was created as a fully digital online branch of Farmers Bank and Trust Company. The name came from a combination of two elements. Proof of funds (POF) is a document or bank statement proving that a person has the financial ability to perform a transaction, and drawing from the bank’s Kentucky roots, alcohol proof, as it is a measure of the content of ethanol in an alcoholic beverage.
