Kinder Morgan Energy Partners acquired Crosstex Energy’s gas treating division in October 2009, making it the largest provider of contract-operated treating plants in the United States. Through acquisition and organic growth, we have been expanding into new markets and diversifying our product line ever since.
In October 2010, Kinder Morgan Treating purchased Gas-Chill, which manufactures small mechanical refrigeration units for natural gas liquids recovery. In November 2011, Kinder Morgan acquired SouthTex Treaters, a manufacturer, designer and fabricator of amine treating plants, dehydration units and condensate stabilizers.
